If you’re anything like me your answer is Rolling Stone. For decades music lovers of all kinds have been able to turn to this press outlet as a means for certifying an artist as legitimate. It was the verified user blue check mark we see on social media for artists that were the real deal. So who wouldn’t want to be on the cover of Rolling Stone, right? Newcomer Parker McKay takes us a through that exact yearning with her debut single aptly titled, “Rolling Stone”. Last season’s runner up on the Voice, Adam Wakefield, released a stripped down version of his original piece “When You’re Sober” earlier this week. Filmed in Nashville’s historical Skull’s Rainbow Room. The stripped down and raw version of this song immediately brings goosebumps. Adam is accompanied by only the piano and the wonderfully talented Jenny Leigh. Proving again that true talent doesn’t need flash and production to shine.
