Tim Riehm hails from Easley, a small town in South Carolina nestled right near Clemson University where the songwriter was attending when he fell in love with music. After graduating from Clemson with a degree in engineering Riehm made the choice to move to Music City and pursue a career as an artist rather than going down the engineering path. While I’m sure he would’ve made an amazing engineer it is safe to safe his gutsy move down the more challenging career path was the right choice.
Tim released “Hey There, Liquor” today. The lyrically depth of a debut track from an artist like this is only comparable to someone of the likes of John Mayer with his breakthrough hit “No Such Thing”. With “Hey There, Liquor” being the first of a five song project the sky is the limit for this Nashville newcomer. It’s only a matter of time before he becomes a certified heartthrob. His smooth and sensual vocals paired with intelligent lyrics and guitar plucking are a trifecta most artists take decades to master.
